John Hick
Centenary
Conference

UWC Red Cross Nordic hosted the John Hick Centenary Conference from 7 to 13 March 2022 in Norway.

With its main focus being the notion of interreligious dialogue, the conference hosted a diverse group of speakers connected to philosophy and theology.

The lasting legacy
of John Hick

John Hick (1922-2012) was a British theologian and philosopher of religion known for his ground-breaking contributions to religious epistemology, theodicy, Christology and religious pluralism. He started his work involved in Christian doctrines and evangelism. However, after being introduced to Birmingham’s multicultural and multireligious environment, he began to develop his ideas on religious pluralism and his pluralistic hypothesis.
